Post #1. June 27, 2021 – Our Location
We are proud to have the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 480) Westboro as the location of our monthly show. Like many small businesses, the Legion has been hit hard by a loss of business during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have managed to squeeze in two shows at the Legion in the past year, when public health restrictions have permitted indoor gatherings. By attending our show, you help support the Legion itself and the hard working volunteers that keep the lights on at this organization that supports those who have served our country.
Post #2. July 29, 2021 – July show report and the upcoming September show
The July show was very busy due to a pent up desire for collectors to get out of their homes and finally view some coins and paper money in person. Besides our fantastic local Ottawa / Gatineau dealers, we were also able to welcome Pierre Leclerc from Montreal and Terry Campbell and Gary Demareski from the eastern suburbs of Toronto. We will continue to try to feature some out of town dealers every show to ensure a steady flow of fresh material. For our September 12 show, there is a conflict with a show in Mississauga so we have a couple of dealer spots left. There will be a couple of new coin and paper money dealers at that show and we also welcome our colleague Peter Rennie who deals in stamps. At this point we are trying to get a few more stamp dealers to fill out the bourse and provide philatelists with a few more reasons to make it out to the show. Keep checking the attending dealers page for an idea of whether your favorite dealers will attend in September.
